Santa Ana High School’s football team, led by running back Charles Hughes and quarterback Sergio Torres, took over undisputed possession of first place in the Orange Coast League with a 49-0 victory over Calvary Chapel Friday night at Segerstrom.

The two teams went into the game tied for first place. Santa Ana is 5-2 overall and 3-0 in league with three games remaining. Calvary Chapel (4-3, 2-1) is tied for second place with St. Margaret’s, which defeated Estancia 54-6.
Calvary Chapel hosts Orange Thursday at Segerstrom while Santa Ana hosts Costa Mesa Thursday at Santa Ana Stadium.
