Friday night lights for Woodbridge and Beckman football teams was cut short at Northrup stadium.
In a night that was anything but planned, it is only fitting that the result of this game has not been decided. There was 2:37 left to play in the first quarter of the Pacific Coast League game when the officials stopped the game due to rain and lightning with league-leader Woodbridge leading 21-0.

Woodbridge (4-3, 2-0) took a time out, which gave the officials enough time to decide it was unsafe to continue play. As Woodbridge had the lead at the time of the delay, it is ultimately up to the Beckman staff to decide whether to reschedule or forfeit.
“Nothing is decided yet,” Beckman Coach Marcello Giuliano said, “The higher ups have got to deal with it.”
“I don’t know what their plan is,” Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson said, “That’s a tough decision.”
A decision could be made on Saturday. Woodbridge trying to lock up a league title. Beckman was 1-1 coming in.
Woodbridge had three scoring plays, all featuring the play-making wide receiver, Jacob Nash. First, it was a 46-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Hurry down the sideline, then a 15-yard pass play made the score 14-0.
The Warriors went on to force a Beckman punt deep in their own territory, which resulted in a 35-yard return for a touchdown. Nash split two defenders and dove for the pylon to score.
“It was a pretty magical night in every facet of the game in those first 10 minutes.” Gibson said.
