Woodbridge infielder Lucas Budgell has committed to furthering his academic and baseball career at Sonoma State University, according to Woodbridge baseball coach Ryan Brucker.
“This is a great opportunity for Lucas and we are extremely proud of the progress he has made over the past year,” Brucker said. “He has worked hard to take his game to the next level and it has paid off. Nobody is more deserving. The Seawolves are getting a good baseball player, and an even better young man. I am confident that there is bright future ahead of Lucas both on and off the field.”
“I chose Sonoma State because I fell in love with the campus, the people, and the history rich baseball program,” Budgell said in a statement for OC Sports Zone.
