Villa Park High School sophomore Gavin Grahovac has made a verbal commitment to play college baseball at Arizona State University.
The talented player still has three more years of high school competition ahead of him before joining the Sun Devis.
“Gavin started at shortstop last year as a freshman on the varsity team,” said Villa Park Coach Burt Call. “He led our team in hitting with a .343 batting average, four doubles, two home runs and four RBI in a shortened season due to COVID-19.
“Gavin is very athletic and can play multiple positions. Gavin has great leadership skills both on the field and in the community. Gavin is committed to Arizona State University. He is a great kid and works extremely hard on the field.”
Grahovac is one of two Orange County sophomores to commit with Arizona State. Northwood High pitcher Brandon Luu also announced he will be headed to the Sun Devils program.
