Orange High’s football team will be preparing soon for its 2019 schedule.
The Panthers will be playing their home games at other venues this season as their home field, Fred Kelly Stadium, is being renovated.
Three of the home games will be at Segerstrom High and the league season finale vs. Santa Ana will be played at Chapman University.
The opener will be Thursday, Aug. 29 against Garden Grove and Orange will be the designated home team in the game at Garden Grove. Athletic Director Alicia Seevers said this week that in the opener, the Panthers fans will sit in the visiting side for the opener.
The Panthers, coached by Robert Pedroza, have six Thursday night games. Orange was 8-3 overall and finished 4-1 in the Orange Coast League behind Santa Ana last year.
The renovation of Fred Kelly Stadium also affects the other high school teams in the Orange Unified School District: Canyon, El Modena and Villa Park.
