It’s the final week of the regular season in high school boys basketball and there are plenty of exciting match-ups.

Here’s some on Tuesday night we will be following:

—Cypress, which has already clinched a share of its third consecutive Empire League title, hosts Kennedy at 6 p.m. Coach Derek Mitchell’s Cypress team (21-5, 8-0) is trying to go undefeated in league for the third consecutive season. Kennedy is 13-10 overall and 1-7 in league play. Cypress will honor its seniors before the game.

—Tustin (16-9, 4-4) will be out to secure third place in the Empire League when it hosts Pacifica (14-12, 2-6). Coach Ringo Bossenmeyer’s team did not reach the CIF playoffs last season and they are determined to advance this season. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. at Tustin. Tustin will have a senior night ceremony before the game.

—Coach Brian Smith’s Portola team will try and earn at least a share of the Pacific Coast League title when it hosts Woodbridge at 7 p.m. Tuesday night. Portola (15-11, 7-1) leads the league while defending champion Beckman (14-12, 6-2) is in second place. Beckman, trying to keep its hopes alive for a co-title, plays at University Tuesday night. Portola is in its second varsity season and is looking for its first league crown.

–Godinez (14-11, 3-5) plays at Westminster (10-16, 5-3) in a Golden West League game. Westminster and Ocean View are one game behind league-leading Garden Grove (6-2). If Godinez doesn’t finish in the top three of the league, the Grizzlies overall record could be enough to push them into the playoffs.

Please check back with OC Sports Zone later tonight for updates and game coverage.
