A full schedule of games is planned Saturday, March 25 for the opening round of the annual Alan Dugard Softball Classic at Bill Barber in Irvine.
Teams are divided into six pools with games at Deanna Manning Stadium and the other fields at the complex.
Wooodbridge Coach Jerry Rose has notified teams that officials will do all they can to have the fields ready for play on Saturday after another week of heavy rains.
Among the teams in the tournament Capistrano Valley, ranked third in the CIF Division 2 rankings and Edison (fourth) and Foothill (sixth), who are ranked in Division 4 and Irvine, which is ranked second in Division 5.
The tournament is named after former long-time Woodbridge coach and teacher Alan Dugard, who is expected to be in attendance at the tournament.
