Sunny Hills and Orange will host separate high school girls and boys basketball tournaments at their venues beginning Thursday, Dec. 26.
At Sunny Hills, the Winter Parlay Boys and Girls Tournament will be held, according to boys coach Joe Ok.
El Dorado, Long Beach Jordan, Lakewood, Los Alamitos, Edison, Sunny Hills, Desert Christian Academy and Long Beach Wilson are in the girls tournament.
Edison meets Sunny Hills Thursday, Dec. 26 at 1:30 p.m. and Desert Christian Academy faces Long Beach Wilson at 4:30 p.m.
The semifinals are Friday, Dec. 27 and the championship Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Marina, Warren, Troy, Western, Apple Valley, Pacifica Christian, Sierra Vista and Sunny Hills are on the boys side.
Troy faces Western Thursday at 3 p.m., Sunny Hills meets Sierra Vista at 6 p.m. and Marina meets Warren at 7:30 p.m.
The semifinals are Friday, Dec. 27 and the championship game Saturday, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
At Orange, the 59th annual Orange Holiday Classic gets under way on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Girls teams in the eight team bracket are Fullerton, Laguna Hills, Capistrano Valley and Orange.
Orange County boys teams in the eight team field are El Toro, Orange and Irvine.
Irvine opens against Chaparral at 3 p.m. while El Toro meets South East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26.
The second round of both tournaments is Friday, Dec. 27. The semifinals are Saturday, Dec. 28.
The championship games are Monday, Dec. 30.
The girls championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the boys championship at 7:30 p.m.
