Foothill High School’s boys basketball team has begun its summer camp in preparation for another season.
The Knights finished 2-2 at the Section 7 Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. over the weekend.
“We went 2-2, we beat Torrey Pines and Lake Oswego and lost to Dougherty and Campbell Hall,” said Coach Yousof Etemadi. “This was our first week of summer camp and have a very young team led by Carlo Billings and Marco Manzi.”
Etemadi, who led the Knights to the CIF Division II Southern California Division 1 title last season, said his team made progress.
“Overall there were a lot of good things we did this past weekend that we can continue to build on,” he said. “It’s good for the team to get out of OC and play together and spend some time together off the court as well.”Â
The Knights defeated Torrey Pines 58-50 Sunday. Foothill was led by junior Isaiah Bernard, who had 13 points, senior Adam Semaan who had 11 points and Billings, a senior, who had 10 points.
