First place Corona del Mar defeats Marina 7-4 and takes Wave League series

Corona del Mar’s baseball defeated Marina 7-4 in a Wave League game Saturday at CdM to capture the season series between the teams. The teams split the first two games of the series.

Matt DeCrona (4-2) pitched 5 2/3 innings striking out eight to secure the win. Blake Butcher went 2 for 3 with three RBI and Max Lane added two RBI.  

CdM and Newport Harbor will play the Battle of the Bay three-game series next week with games on Tuesday and Saturday at Newport Harbor and Thursday at CdM.
