Crean Lutheran athletic officials are responding with pride after golfer Tyler Guo won the CIF Southern California Golf Championship for the second year in a row on Thursday.
“Tyler was going in yesterday as the defending CIF Southern Cal Champ last year and did it again,” said Athletic Director Eric Olson. “He then went on to win the State Championship last year.”
Guo advances to the state tournament next week.
Crean Lutheran golf coach Dan Fink added:
“We are so proud of Tyler, he is a soft spoken, humble young man who doesn’t get rattled. He kept to his game with amazing composure. When he got to the head to head playoff I had a feeling we would witness his best golf. His final put was just that, Tyler at his best. Both Tyler and I thank God and offer all the glory to Him. It is in fact, through Him, all blessings flow. Tyler is looking forward to the State Championships next week.”
