CIF boys basketball playoff highlights for Orange County teams on Saturday, Feb. 15

DIVISION 3A

TUSTIN 49, ADELANTO 47 (OT): Tustin (24-6) rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to win the second round game Saturday in Victorville. Ethan Contreras scored 16 points to lead the Tillers, who move on to the quarterfinals Tuesday at Sage Hill.

DIVISION 4AA

PACIFICA 47, TARBUT V’ TORAH 46: No. 6-seed Pacifica went ahead when the Mariners’ Myles Salas hit a deep 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left in the game. TVT had the ball with 1.5 seconds left under the Lions bucket, but Jake Coblentz-Brown’s contested lay-up rolled out.

Pacifica (20-10) advances to meet Tate in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

TVT led almost the entire first half and held on to a 27-24 halftime lead.

Pacifica led by one point briefly in the third quarter and regained the lead with just over four minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Down 41-37, TVT responded with three 3-pointers to go up 46-41 with 1:28 to go. TVT still led by two points with 13 seconds to go, but turned the ball over setting up Salas’heroics.

Luke Thompson led Pacifica with 16 points off the bench, 11 in the second quarter, including three 3-pointers. Salas finished with 15 points. Maxon Tjhatra added 10 points while Gianmarco Mendoza had the other six points.

For TVT (16-4) seniors Coblentz-Brown and Graydon Carpet each had 15 points and three 3-pointers. Coblentz-Brown added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Co-captain Carpet had a good floor game with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Ari Varon and Ori Maya each had six points and two 3-pointers.
