OC Sports Zone: Community First

CdM, JSerra, Tesoro, Loara, Crean Lutheran and Estancia boys basketall teams capture victories

CORONA DEL MAR 71, HUNTINGTON BEACH 65: The Sea Kings (16-1) won a Sunset League crossover game Wednesday night. Hudson Bond scored 25 points, George Bruening had 13 points and Jack Louks 10 points to lead CdM.

Huntington Beach (4-14) was led by Luke Kumoric with 19 points and Brody Thralls with 15 points.

JSERRA 72, SERVITE 51: The Lions (12-4, 2-1) captured a Trinity League victory Wednesday night. Robert Diaz scored 15 points, Aidan Fowler had 12 points and Austin Persek 11 points to lead JSerra.

Miles Song scored and Tyler Small scored 13 points each to lead Servite (12-3, 0-2).

TESORO 52, SAN CLEMENTE 43: The Titans (18-3, 3-0) remained undefeated in the South Coast League with a win Wednesday night. Carson Brown scored 21 points and Nathan Draper 16 points to lead Tesoro. Kyle Gleason had nine points and Blake Manning five points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

LOARA 66, RANCHO ALAMITOS 47: The Saxons captured a Garden Grove League victory with a victory at Rancho Alamitos. Senior forward Elias Farhat scored 19 points and had four steals, junior forward Andrew Romero had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Loara (8-12, 2-1).

Both teams shot well from the free throw line. Loara made 16 of 20 free throws and Rancho Alamitos (6-13, 0-3) made all 13 attempts.

CREAN LUTHERAN 72, RANCHO CHRISTIAN 57: Vyctorius Miller scored 19 points, grabbed three rebounds and had two assists and Koat Keat had 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to lead Crean Lutheran (14-1) to a non-league victory at home.

The Saints, ranked fifth in the CIF Division 1 poll, defeated Tustin Tuesday. Crean Lutheran has a make-up game Thursday at 6 p.m. at Cypress.

ESTANCIA 51, SADDLEBACK 41: The Eagles captured an Orange Coast League victory. Lewis Tate scored 20 points and Jaedon Hose-Shea 12 points for Estancia (15-5, 1-0). Estancia is scheduled to host Santa Ana Friday night.
