It’s a big Friday night of boys high school basketball in Orange County and OC Sports Zone will have highlights and game coverage after the games.

Among the big games tonight:

—Corona del Mar hosts Newport Harbor in a Surf League game at 7 p.m. The Sunset League is divided into the Surf League and the Wave League.

This game always attracts lots of fans and a capacity crowd is expected for Pack the Gym Night. Ryan Schachter’s team, led by high scoring senior Jack Stone is 14-6 overall. Bob Torribio’s Newport Harbor squad, led by Luke Bashore and Robbie Spooner, has the best record in the league at 18-4.

The homecourt edge could play a factor in this one.

—Valencia plays Crean Lutheran at 6 p.m. at Crean Lutheran. Remember, this league starts its games at 6 p.m. Both teams are tied for second place with 2-1 records and both squads are coming off losses. Valencia is 16-5 overall and Crean Lutheran 10-8, but the Saints, led by high scoring guard Drew Yezbak, have played a challenging schedule.

—Tesoro’s boys basketball team, 16-3 overall, hosts Laguna Hills in a Sea View League game at 7 p.m. San Juan Hills is currently atop the league standings with a 3-0 record but Coach Steve Garrett’s Tesoro team (2-0 in league) can move into a tie for first place with a victory.

—Segerstrom hosts Ocean View in a key Golden West League game at 7:15 p.m. Ocean View (13-8, 3-0) leads the league while Segerstrom and Garden Grove are tied for second with 2-1 records.
