Woodbridge High senior right handed pitcher Max Montplaisir has committed to play baseball at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, according to Warriors Coach Ryan Brucker.

Montplaisir was second on the Woodridge 2019 staff throwing 36 1/3 innings with five starts and a 2-2 record.

“Max is poised to have a big year on the mound for us during the our 2020 campaign,” Brucker said. “He has known PLU was the right fit for him since last year and I couldn’t be more happy for him. He has worked hard to get to this point and now he can go out and focus on getting better on the mound. He is a great leader and posses all the intangible qualities that you want in a pitcher. He is only going to continue to get better.”

Montplaisir added:

“Even before I knew that I wanted to play college baseball, I was really interested in going to school there. They have some really cool opportunities to serve with student ministries which is something I enjoy. When I got an offer to baseball there it was one that I couldn’t pass up. I am super excited to play baseball and grow in my faith alongside other followers of Christ.”Â
