Fullerton College’s women’s softball team opened the Southern California Regional playoffs taking two games from No. 12 College of the Canyons to advance into the second round.
The No. 5 Hornets won on Friday 4-2 behind the pitching of Lulu Vasquez, who pitched the first five innings and Jessica Lopez who got the win. Fullerton then won the second game on Saturday in five innings 8-0. Lopez notched her 17th win of the season in Saturday’s game.
