Fullerton College softball team sweeps against Canyons and advances in So Cal Regional

Fullerton College’s women’s softball team opened the Southern California Regional playoffs taking two games from No. 12 College of the Canyons to advance into the second round.

The No. 5 Hornets won on Friday 4-2 behind the pitching of Lulu Vasquez, who pitched the first five innings and Jessica Lopez who got the win. Fullerton then won the second game on Saturday in five innings 8-0. Lopez notched her 17th win of the season in Saturday’s game.

Khloe Lilavois drove in five runs in two Fullerton College wins.

Jessica Lopez earned both wins as Fullerton College swept Canyons.

Anabell Mendez hiked her team-leading RBI total to 41 with three Saturday for Fullerton College.
