Woodbridge’s boys wrestling team won a Pacific Coast League dual meet Wednesday night defeating University 64-9 helping the Warriors win the league title for the first time since 2007, according to Coach Mike Heim
Woodbridge, 5-0, also earned victories this season over Northwood 42-32; Irvine 51-23; Portola 60-18; and Laguna Beach 72-11.
“What has made this team special is the culture in the room and the standard these athletes hold each other to every day,” Heim said. “We’re fortunate to have an outstanding coaching staff that pours into our wrestlers, and incredible drilling partners who sharpen each other daily, iron sharpens iron.
“Every performance from this team reflects what happens when no one’s watching. They demand the best from each other, compete the right way, and work with purpose in every rep.
