Orange County boys basketball highlights, final scores for Tuesday, Dec. 9

NON-LEAGUE

ALISO NIGUEL  47, IRVINE 33: Aliso Niguel (9-4) was led by Jayden Mysin, who scored 17 points, Collin Tjin, who had 10 points and Wyatt Richmon, who nine points in the game at Irvine Tuesday night. Irvine (6-4) was led by Holden Stearns, who had 18 points and Jalen Yim with eight points.

ORANGE 56, SUNNY HILLS 48: The Panthers (3-5) were led by Landen Gomez, who had 16 points. Isaac Cruz and Ivan Kim each had 11 points and Alex Villa eight points for Orange.

ARTESIA 79, TARBUT V’ TORAH 68 (OT): TVT’s Matt Olen dropped in a 3-pointer with eight seconds left to send the game into overtime tied 65-65. With TVT shorthanded with several regulars sick and unavailable, Artesia broke the game open in overtime.

Eli Feinberg led the Lions with 25 points and eight assists. Ori Maya had 18 points and 12 rebounds. Olen had 12 points and Ari Varon eight points.

TESORO 75, NORTHWOOD 45: The Titans (9-2) were led by Carson Hatch with 31 points and six 3-pointers. Brayden D’Avanzo had 10 points and five rebounds, Owen Hatch had nine points and Max Draper had five assists, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

NORTH OC CHAMPIONSHIPS

CYPRESS 75, QUARTZ HILL 54: The Centurions, coached by Derek Mitchell, notched a win on Tuesday. Cypress (6-3) was led by Ryan Gov with 25 points and eight rebounds. Gavin Kroll added 14 points with two 3-pointers. Emmanuel Igbekoyi had 12 points and Ethan Mai 10 points and two 3-pointers.

SAVANNA TOURNAMENT

ESPERANZA 63, PENINSULA 51: The Aztecs (9-1) were led by Jackson Fries who had 34 points and eight 3-pointers and Vincent Garza who had 15 points and nine rebounds.

WESTERN TOURNAMENT

SERVITE 62, TRABUCO HILLS 37: Servite (9-2) was led by Tariq Johnson II, Carlos Galvan and Jake Schutt, who each had 13 points.

NEWPORT HARBOR 73, VALENCIA 55: The Sailors (7-3) were led by Marcel Aguilar who had 26 points. The Sailors tied a school record going 18 of 19 from the free throw line.

CALIFORNIA 81, OCEAN VIEW 48: California (7-3) was led by Augie Gomez who had 18 points, Jair Linares who had 15 points.

SAVANNA 55, UNIVERSITY 54: Senior guard Paul Henderson stole the ball under the basket and scored with 2.5 seconds to go to lead Savanna to a win over University Tuesday.

It was a back and forth game with numerous lead changes. University led by seven points before Savanna Savanna regained the lead only to fall behind again by a point before Henderson’s heroics.

Senior Kemal Nurhuusun led Savanna (3-4) with 13 points and three 3-pointers while Henderson had a dozen points.

University (2-6) was led by sophomore point guard Connor Cao with 16 points and five assists.

Junior swingman Nader Chalan finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Junior center Abdallah Shami had his fifth double-double in his last six games with 12 points and 11 rebounds (five offensive) before fouling out.

BECKMAN 56, GODINEZ 50: The Patriots were led by Qusai Azem who had 25 points and eight rebounds. Bronson Mejia added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

SAN JUAN INVITATIONAL

Capo Valley Christian 61, Calvary Chapel 50
