SERVITE 6, ALISO NIGUEL 2: The Friars advanced into the championship game of the Loara Tournament Saturday at 7 p.m. at Glover Stadium with the win on Friday. Gustavo Gutierrez was the winning pitcher, throwing 3 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out six. Carter Vanderhook, who pitched 3 1/3 innings striking out two, earned the save. Hayden Woodson, had two RBI for Servite.
SANTA MARGARITA 9, DAMIEN 2: Ethan Russell, who pitched two innings striking out four, was the winning pitcher. Brody Schumaker was 1 for 2 with a triple and three RBI, Delmar Perez was 1 for 1 with a double and two RBI, Logan DeGroot was 1 for 2 and Warren Gravely had two RBI.
COSTA MESA 3, SAGE HILL 0: Costa Mesa (3-0) was led by Will Clark, who got the win. He pitched for three innings, allowing two hits and striking out five. Wylan Rottshafer had his second save, striking out one. Isaiah Mamian was 1 for 1 with a double and an RBI.
VILLA PARK 7, DANA HILLS 0: Sophomore Aidan Young was 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBI to lead Villa Park. Nate Lewis was 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI, Shawn Romero was 2 for 2 with two doubles. Jake Nobles (2-0) got the victory, pitching five innings and striking out three.
