Mission Viejo High School’s football team bounced back from an early 14-0 deficit to defeat Granite Hills 49-21 in the CIF Southern California 1-AA Regional final Friday night at Mission Viejo.
Coach Chad Johnson’s Diablos (12-3) responded with 49 consecutive points to advance into the state final against De La Salle of Concord Friday at 8 p.m. at Saddleback College.
