It was a memorable finish for high school football seniors, who wrapped up their careers in the 63rd annual North-South Classic in front of a near capacity crowd Saturday night at Newport Harbor School’s Davidson Field.
The South won 24-7 to extend its winning streak to eight games.
Players were joined on the field after the game for photos with family members. Among them were Irvine High School Joey Ricci, who was joined by his father, Irvine football coach Tom Ricci and other family members. Tom Ricci said he was very proud of his son.
The game was presented by Costa Mesa United.
