Woodbridge senior Mia Tamkoc pitched her second no-hitter of the year Wednesday in the Warriors 10-0 Pacific Coast League softball victory over Northwood, according to Coach Jerry Rose.
Tamkoc did not allow a hit in the five-inning game which was called due to the run rule. She had five strikeouts. On the season, Tamkoc has a 1.77 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 79 innings. Tamkoc threw a six-inning no-hitter earlier this season in the Warriors 2-0 victory over Santa Margarita in the Alan Dugard Tournament.
Rosary leads the league with a 2-0 record. Woodbridge and Irvine are tied for second place with 2-1 records. Woodbridge defeated Irvine 2-1 earlier this season.
“We look good as of now,” Rose said. “We have our rematch vs Rosary on April 24 at Rosary.”
Woodbridge has been led by leadoff hitter Payton Harris who is batting .465 with 18 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. She is batting .615 in league with five runs scored.
Seli Yamamoto is batting .362 overall and .429 in league and and Audrey Song .340 overall and .333 in league.
