Woodbridge High School pitcher Vincent De Marco, coming off a successful 2025 season, has made a verbal commitment to attend and play college baseball for St. Mary’s College.
De Marco, a first team All-Pacific Coast League player and a first team All-CIF Division 4 selection, made the announcement last week on X.
“I am super blessed and excited to announce my commitment to further my athletic and academic career at Saint Mary’s College,” he said on X. “Thank you God for this blessing and thank you to my family, friends and coaches for helping me get there.”
Woodbridge Coach Ryan Brucker said he was excited about the decision. De Marco has his final year at Woodbridge coming up.
“We are super proud of Vince and his decision to commit to St. Mary’s,” Brucker said. “He has worked his tail off for this opportunity and it is well deserved. Vince’s work ethic and competitive drive are something special and he is only going to continue to get better.
“The Gaels have a good one coming and we can’t wait to see what this next year brings for him.”
De Marco, who also played first base, was a key player for Woodridge last season, helping the Warriors capture the Ryan Lemmon Invitational. DeMarco hit .636 during the week with nine RBI and in the final, was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBI. He also had a win on the mound during the week.
During this past season, De Marco set the program’s single season ERA record, finishing with a 0.21 ERA in 65 2/3 innings, according to Brucker. He allowed no runs in 11 of his 13 appearances and finished with an 11-1 record.
