Woodbridge High’s girls basketball team defeated Fountain Valley 43-41 Monday night in the opening round of the Artesia Tournament behind the 15-point performance of Maddie Yasui.
Yasui made four 3-pointers to lift the Warriors (6-2). She hit a 3-point basket with 43 seconds left to put the Warriors ahead by two points, according to Warriors Coach Keith Clarkson.
Erika Maggard added nine points for Woodbridge.
