Woodbridge High School pitcher-infielder Sean McCance has committed to continue his baseball career for University of Redlands, McCance confirmed Friday.
McCance, a senior, pitched his first complete game Friday helping the fourth-seeded Warriors defeat Saugus 6-0 in the opening round of the CIF Division 4 playoffs. Woodbridge hosts La Sierra Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. at Ryan Lemmnon Stadium in the second round.
“I’m going to Redlands to pitch and play infield and I’m looking forward to it, it’s a great program with a great coach, Coach (Aaron) Holley,” McCance said. “I’m really looking forward to it and excted to go there.”
McCance said he will major in business.
McCance and teammate Nathan Perry have been selected to compete for the South in the annual Orange County all-star game.
