Villa Park and Dana Hills captured victories Tuesday to advance to the championship game of the Ryan Lemmon high school baseball series Wednesday night at 6 at the Orange County Great Park Stadium in Irvine.
Dana Hills, ranked third in the county pre-season poll by OC Varsity, defeated Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks 3-0 while Villa Park defeated Yucaipa 2-1.
Event director Dick Owens said last week that officials have been told there can be a capacity of 35 percent at the Great Park, which would allow for about 300 fans. There are also plenty of viewing areas outside the stadium.
“We have protocols in place such as everyone will get temperature checks and wear a mask,” Owens said.
The rest of the games Wednesday will be played at host high school parks in Orange County.
