Updates from the Grizzly Invitational at Godinez and other boys basketball tournaments:
No. 5 Villa Park defeated Yorba Linda 91-46 Saturday night in the championship game of the Grizzly Invitational. Tournament MVP Julien Franklin led the Spartans (10-0) with 25 points.
Villa Park, ranked fifth in Orange County by the Orange County Register, raced out to a 33-6 lead after the first quarter.
Also at the Grizzly Invitational:
El Dorado 53, Northwood 51: Amir Flint had 21 points, Shandon Sharifi scored 15 points and Nathan Maloney 8 points for Northwood.
Newport Harbor 64, Capo Valley Christian 59: The Sailors won in overtime in the third place game.
