Uni, Newport Harbor, Servite and HB boys basketball teams capture Monday wins

University 81, Costa Mesa 62: The Trojans earned a non-league win Monday at Costa Mesa. University was led by Andrew Bogard, who had a career-high 23 points and four 3-pointers. Isaac Evans had his third double double of the season with 22 points and 10 assists along with seven steals. Shervin Moarrefian had 14 points and Christian DeBarge 10 points for Uni (4-10).

Costa Mesa (6-11) was led by Gary Sloane, who had 16 points and four 3-pointers and Parker Hylton, who had 15 points.

Newport Harbor 79, Buena Park 41: The Sailors (9-2) opened the Western Tournament with a decisive victory. Jack Berry scored 26 points and had six assists. Cole Leinart scored 15 points and Dashielle Bastedo 13 points and nine rebounds for the Sailors.

Servite 50, Corona del Mar 45: The Friars (5-2) opened the Savanna Tournament with a victory. RJ Chastang had 13 points, CJ Landazabal 10 points, Jake Schutt nine points and Joaquin Rigdon eight points to lead Servite.

Huntington Beach 67, La Habra 65: The Oilers (10-3) were led by Aden Jones who had 21 points. Oliver Nakra had 18 points and Kai Labistre 15 points.
