Crean Lutheran’s boys basketball team, coming off the winning the CIF 2A title last week, opened the Southern California 2AA regional tournament defeating King/Drew 69-63 in overtime Tuesday night at Crean Lutheran.
The top-seeded Saints were led by Koat Keat who had 26 points (11 in the fourth quarter) and grabbed 11 rebounds. James Agany had 17 points and Michael Birket 12 points for the Saints.
No. 8-seeded King Drew was led by Kosy Akametu who had 26 points and nine rebounds. Kalib LaCount had 23 points.
Crean Lutheran advances into the second round on Thursday to host Los Altos at 7 p.m. The finals are Saturday night.
