Crean Lutheran’s girls basketball team, top seeded in the CIF4A playofs, opened up Thursday with a 66-34 victory over Katella at Crean Lutheran.
Taylor Feldman led the Saints (23-5) with 21 points, five assists and seven steals. Shannon O’Malley had 17 points and seven rebounds and Hailee Daniel had five points and 20 rebounds. Allison Reed had 10 points and three assists the Saints.
“The girls came out a bit nervous but settled down after the first quarter,” said Crean Lutheran Coach Kelsi Walker.
“Hailee dominated the boards grabbing a record setting 20 rebounds for Crean. Taylor Feldman created defensive havoc with seven steals. “
