Three big tournaments highlight start of OC high school boys basketball season

The start of the high school boys basketball tournament on Monday, Nov. 13 includes three major tournaments: the Santa Ana Varsity Tournament at Santa Ana and Tustin, the Rumble for Rosecrans Avenue at three gymnasiums, including Sunny Hills and the Jim Harris Memorial Tournament at Ocean View.

Santa Ana Tourney

Monday, Nov. 13

Newport Harbor vs. Segerstrom at Santa Ana, 4 p.m.; San Juan Hills vs. La Quinta at Tustin 5:30 p.m.; La Habra vs. Valencia at Santa Ana, 5:30 p.m.; Tustin vs. Yorba Linda at Tustin, 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov 14

University vs. San Clemente at Santa Ana, 3 p.m.; Fountain Valley vs. Santa Ana at Santa Ana, 4:30 p.m.; Diamond Bar vs. Huntington Beach at Santa Ana 6 p.m. and California vs. Dana Hills at Santa Ana, 7:30 p.m.

The championship is Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Santa Ana.

Rumble for Rosecrans

Monday, Nov. 13

At Sunny Hills:

Glendora vs. Buena Park, 3:30 p.m.; Wilson HH vs. Villa Park, 5 p.m.; Kennedy vs. Arlington, 6:30 p.m., Sunny Hills vs. Damien, 8 p.m.

At Troy:

Aquinas vs. Summit, 3:30 p.m.; Sonora vs. Calvary Chapel, 5 p.m.; Canyon vs. Schurr, 6:30 p.m.; Troy vs. Lakewood, 8 p.m.

At Santa Fe:

Valley Christian vs. Quartz Hill, 3:30 p.m.; El Modena vs. Los Altos, 5 p.m.; Santa Fe vs. El Segundo, 6:30 p.m.; La Mirada vs. Torrance, 8 p.m.

At Fullerton:

Ontario Christian vs. El Dorado, 3:30 p.m.; La Serna vs. Ayala, 5 p.m.; Woodbridge vs. El Toro, 6:30 p.m.; Fullerton vs. Orange Lutheran, 8 p.m.

Jim Harris Tournament

Monday, Nov. 13:

Mira Costa vs. Brea Olinda, 3 p.m.; Rancho Dominguez vs. Portola, 4:30 p.m.; Mayfair vs. Laguna Beach, 6 p.m.; LB Millikan vs. Tesoro, 7:30 p.m.; Beckman vs. Trabuco Hills, 9 p.m.

The championship is Saturday at Ocean View.
