Tesoro, Servite, Santa Margarita, Woodbridge and Northwood capture Tuesday wins

TESORO 14, MISSION VIEJO 2: The Titans (13-6, 5-1) notched a South Coast League win Tuesday. Jake Porter pitched five innings, striking out four. Jackson Freeman was 3 for 4 with two home runs and six RBI, Grant Grinstead was 3 for 3 and Owen aust was 3 for 3 with two RBI.

SERVITE 11, DANA HILLS 0: The pitchers combined to throw a two-hit shutout with Kyle King getting the victory. Kyle Buchanan had four RBI, Jonathan Rodriguez and Tyler Thorsteinson two each and Miles Scott and Ryan Villanueva one each.

SANTA MARGARITA 2, CORONA 1: The Eagles (16-3) won their game Tuesday at the Boras Classic. Luke Lavin was 2 for 3 with two RBI, stolen base and a run scored and Logan DeGroot 1 for 2 with two RBI. Colin Clarke pitched a complete game, allowing one run and striking out eight.

WOODBRIGE 15, PORTOLA 2: The Pacific Coast League leading Warriors (16-5, 12-2) won at Portola Tuesday. Brandon Abernathy (4-0) got the victory. Anthony DeMarco (grand slam) and Nolan Stottlemyer each had home runs.

Matt Kuromoto was 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored, Abernathy was 3 for 4 with three runs scored, two RBI and three stolen bases, Jake Amundson was 1 for 4 with three runs scored and two stolen bases, DeMarco was 2 for 5 with a double, and five RBI, Stottlemyer was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBI, Jake Perez was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Alex Serafin was 1 for 3 with a double, run scored and an RBI..

NORTHWOOD 4, LAGUNA HILLS 0: The Timberwolves (14-7, 11-4) captured another win over the Hawks Tuesday. Bobby Bangs threw a complete game shutout striking out five and allowing five hits. He did not walk a batter.

“Our defense played great behind him,” said Northwood Coach Doug Euper.

Adam Harper went 3 for 3, Jordan Kim was 3 for 4 and Kai Mo 2 for 4.
