Northwood High’s offensive coordinator Dan Selway is looking forward to his next youth football camp for youngsters grades one through eight at the Lake Forest Sports Park June 24, 25 and 26.

The camp is for players of all positions and abilities, Selway said.

“The camp will primarily feature drills and skills training for quarterbacks and wide receivers, including speed and agility training, NFL yoga instructor, guest speakers and and elite level coaching staff,” Selway said.

“Some of the best players in Orange County are already signed up. Spots are still available to sign up. It has already been a fun year to watch some of my young athletes I have been training for years to take their game to the next level.”

Selway is also looking forward to being the offensive coordinator at Northwood under new coach Paige Nobles.

“I am excited to be part of a new season,” Selway said. “Coach Nobles is off to a great start as head coach and hopefully we can use the positive energy from the success last year into this 2019 season.

“We are working hard and hope to be exciting to watch on offense and defense. We found out last year we were much improved but there is no X n O’s good scheme to quick fix into a championship level program. We are excited for the opportunity to compete in a competitive league where every game should be a challenge this season.”

Selway said a number of talented players return for the Timberwolves.

“On offense we return some quality proven skilled position players in Jaden Piazza , Travis Arena and Trey Littlejohn and lineman Xaxier Cousar,” he said. “The talent is there for the 2019 football team. Certainly I will try and use our skill set on offense and get the ball to playmakers in space in whatever scheme does that most effectively. We will continue to work hard to make the most of a fun season ahead.”
