Irvine Pony Baseball will host the Pony Baseball Bronco 12-and-under regional tournament beginning Thursday at Hicks Canyon Park in Irvine.
Seven teams are entered in the double elimination tournament.
In Thursday’s openers, Placentia will meet St. Hedwig at 5:15 p.m. and Cypress will face La Mirada at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, Garden Grove meets Irvine at 5:15 p.m. and Newport Harbor faces the winner of the Cypress-La Mirada game at 7:30 p.m.
The tournament continues Saturday and wraps up Sunday.
The winner of the tournament moves on as the No. 1 team from the bracket in the Super Regional and the runner-up goes as the No. 2 team.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for senior citizens, teenagers $1 for children 12 and under are free.
Hicks Canyon Park is located at 3862 Viewpoint, Irvine.
