SATURDAY HOOPS: San Juan Hills, El Dorado, Mater Dei, Servite and JSerra win

SAN JUAN HILLS 67, CYPRESS 55: San Juan Hills (12-2) went 4-0 in the CVC Classic with a victory over Cypress Saturday night. Mark Reichner scored 32 points, John McFadden had 12 points and Jacob Simon 10 to lead the Stallions.

Kody Papke scored 20 points and made four 3-pointers, Mickey Kadawaki had eight points and Ryan Tran seven points to lead Cypress (3-7).

San Juan Hills built a 12-0 lead but Cypress battled back cutting the lead to single digits in the fourth quarter, according to Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell.

“But San Juan Hills was too tough to pull out the victory,” he said. “They are ranked number two in their division for a reason.”

EL DORADO 53, YORBA LINDA 33: The Hawks (9-2) won the title at the Gary Raya Classic. Jacob Kang led El Dorado with 17 points and Hudson Novak and Ty Carlson had 11 points each. Jason Cassachia led Yorba Linda (5-5) with 10 points. Click here for full story.

MATER DEI 60, ETIWANDA 47: The Monarchs (6-1) captured the title at the Corona del Mar Beach Bash Tourney. Zack Davidson scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Tee Bartlett had nine points, eight rebounds and one blocked shot. Mater Dei held a 30-22 halftime lead.

SERVITE 58, LONG BEACH MILLIKAN 46: The Friars finished undefeated at the Bellflower Tournament to capture the tourney title. Tyler Small scored 25 points and Miles Song had 11 to lead Servite.

JSERRA 64, TESORO 40: The Lions captured third place at the Beach Bash Tourney. Aidan Fowler and Robert Diaz scored 18 points each to lead JSerra. Fowler and Diaz were both named to the all-tournament team.

Tesoro’s Carson Brown scored 17 points, grabbed five rebounds and had five assists and was named to the all-tournament team. Jake Bennett had five points and seven rebounds for the Titans.
