Santa Ana High School soccer star Diego Anaya is off to Orlando, FL representing his school, according to Saints head coach Joe Peñaflor.
Anaya was recognized as an Allstate All-American and one of the top 40 male student athlete soccer players in the nation.
Allstate and the other sponsors are flying Anaya out to Orlando, to stay at the Orlando World Center Marriott on an all expenses paid trip, Peñaflor said.
Tuesday morning the Saints player will be practicing at the Omni Championsgate, one of the elite soccer training facilities in the nation. He will be coached by former national team player and TV analyst Tyler Twellman. Tuesday evening he will be presented his jersey at a banquet honoring the players.
Wednesday, he will be competing in the Allstate Cup, Team Twellman, at UCF stadium, according to Peñaflor
The game will air on ESPNU Wednesday at 9 a.m. In the evening he will go watch the MLS all-stars take on Athletico Madrid, at the Orlando City Stadium and be honored on the field at halftime.
