San Juan Hills boys basketball team captured a 64-59 Sea View League victory over El Toro Wednesday night to run its league mark to 3-0.
The Stallions (9-11 overall) were led by Adam Weingard who had 28 points and Ryan Perucci, who had 12 points.
El Toro fell to 12-7 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Saddleback 47, Santa Ana 44: The Roadrunners improved their league record to 2-1 with the home victory. Jesus Hernandez scored 15 points, Jonathan Argueta had 13 points and Alex Mena seven points to lead Saddleback.
Newport Harbor 61, Huntington Beach 43: The Sailors (18-4) won the Sunset League crossover game, their final one before taking on Corona del Mar Friday night at CdM. Levi Darrow scored 17 points and had six assists and Ryan Miller contributed 13 points for Newport Harbor.
San Clemente 63, Trabuco Hills 57: The Tritons improved their record to 13-8 overall and 2-1 in the South Coast League. Max Rumph scored 17 points, Ryan Goddard had 16 and Matthew Herrod 12 points.
Fountain Valley 62, Corona del Mar 55: The Barons (11-6 overall) won the Sunset League crossover game. Jermiah Davis scored 24 points and Roddie Anderson 18 to lead Fountain Valley. CdM (14-6) was led by Jack Stone with 24 points.
Mayfair 88, Capo Valley Christian 82: The Monsoons were led by their outstanding senior guard Josh Christopher, who had 31 points in the nonleague game at Orangewood Academy. Dior Johnson added 26 points for Mayfair (10-9). Capo Valley Christian (12-9) was led by Luke Powell with 24 points, Adam Garza with 19 points and Dylen Roberts with 14 points. Capo Valley Christian cut the lead to two points with 30 seconds left on a basket by Jalen Constantino before Mayfair closed it out. For a full report, please click here
