Long-time Foothill High School boys basketball assistant coach Gary Sully has been honored for his contributions with an annual award in his name, according to head coach Yousof Etemadi.
The Gary Sully Sportsmanship Award will be handed out each year, Etemadi said. This year’s winners were Colin Holt and Anthony Marinelli.
Sully announced before the end of the year that he was retiring after 10 years. He helped lead Foothill to the CIF Division II Southern California regional championship. The Knights, who finished 31-4, were the runner-ups in the state.
