Portola and Woodbridge capture victories at Ocean View Tournament

Portola’s girls basketball team opened the Ocean View tournament with a 65-39 win over Trabuco Hills.

The Bulldogs were led by Maddy Noh with 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Moka Saiki had 17 points, Mihika Nerurkar nine points and three 3-pointers and Donia Maymoun scored six points and grabbed 22 rebounds. 

Trabuco Hills was led by Kara Duffus with 12 points and seven rebounds, Isabella Carrido had 11 points and Aysia De Lorez with eight points.

Woodbridge 43, Los Alamitos 32: Erika Maggard scored 24 points and Kathleen Wasserman had six points to lead the Warriors (4-1) in an Ocean View Tournament game.

Newport Christian 46, Pacifica Christian 42:  Forwards Hailey Mackay (19 points) and Rebecca Penjoyan (10 points) led Pacifica Christian.
