Segerstrom High School’s boys basketball team recorded a key Golden West League victory Friday, defeating Katella 67-50 at Segerstrom.
The Jaguars (9-15, 5-2) were led by Jalen Cervantes, who scored 14 points and Chris Negrete and Isaiah Velasquez, who had nine points each.
“We’ve been playing really well of late and our high level of intensity and attention to detail continued tonight,” said Segerstrom Coach Brandon Rogers.
Segerstrom was 2-1 on the week, losing to Garden Grove 55-54 Tuesday and defeating Ocean View 64-58 on Wednesday.
