Crean Lutheran’s boys basketball team was hoping to avenge an early season loss to Corona Centennial, the top ranked team in CIF Division 1, Saturday night at the State Preview Classic at Colony High School in Ontario.
But Centennial (20-1) held on for a 72-57 victory. Centennial also defeated No. 5 Crean Lutheran 66-56 on Dec. 30
Crean Lutheran was led by Vyctorius Miller, who scored 20 points and Darrell Morris, who had 19 points. Koat Keat scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Crean Lutheran (17-2 overall).
Centennial took a 36-25 halftime lead.
Crean Lutheran, which leads the Empire League with a 5-0 mark, returns to league play Monday with a game at home vs. Pacifica.
