Crean Lutheran High School’s football team, coached by Rick Curtis, looks ready for Empire League play.
The Saints improved their record to 4-1 overall with a 44-7 non-league victory over Gahr Friday night in Cerritos. Crean Lutheran opens Empire League play Friday night at Valencia (3-2).
Crean Lutheran led 10-0 at halftime, then broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Gladiators 20-7.

Running back Justin Dominguez led the Saints, rushing for 97 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown. Taurian Nash and Archer C’deBaca had rushing touchdowns. C’de Baca rushed for 73 yards on two carries.
Crean Lutheran quarterback Jeremiah Finaly completed 6 of 18 passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Ben Buetell and Colin Currier hauled in TD catches for Crean Lutheran.
On defense, Carter Jones had seven unassisted tackles and three assisted tackles, Josiah Mora had six unassisted tackles and one assisted tackle and Mason McCullough had five solo tackles and one assisted tackle.
Gahr is 3-2 overall.,
