“I was really impressed with the way our boys came out and competed today,” said CdM Coach Kevin McCaffrey. “With the rain, we have not been able to practice the past two days, and you never know what to expect with the time off.
“This was a true team win. The team played with energy. The boys are playing good baseball right now. We are pitching and playing good defense and that is our recipe for success. Stevie was really impressive. There were a lot of swing and misses today. Striking out 13 through six innings is truly special. Vince and Brady led us offensively today. They had some good at bats and put a lot of pressure on Tesoro.
CdM hosts Fullerton Saturday at CdM at 11 a.m.
