TESORO 5, MISSION VIEJO 3: The Titans (15-7, 7-3) remained atop the South Coast League standings with the win. Ryan Rios pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out six. Aidan Nieto was 2 for 3 with two RBI and Breckin Garrett 1 for 3 with an RBI.
SANTA MARGARITA 5, SERVITE 4: The Eagles (16-6-1, 7-3) captured the opener of the Trinity League series Tuesday. Cade Townsend pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out 10 and allowing one earned run. Brennan Bauer earned the save with one inning in relief. Brody Schumaker was 2 for 4, Logan DeGroot 1 for 1 with an RBI and Gavin Sprindonoff had two RBI for the Eagles.
CORONA DEL MAR 3, LAGUNA BEACH 1: The Sea Kings won the opener of the Surf League series Tuesday. Stevie Jones had a complete game two-hitter for CdM (13-9, 4-3).
The teams play again Wednesday at Laguna Beach and Friday at CdM.
Coach Kevin McCaffrey’s Sea Kings are tied for first place with Newport Harbor.
COSTA MESA 9, ORANGE 0: The Orange Coast League leading Mustangs (18-6, 8-1) notched a shutout Tuesday. Will Clark (7-1) was the winning pitcher. He pitched a complete game, allowing one hit and striking out eight. Omar Gutierrez was 2 for 2 with three runs scored and a double, Aiden Comte 2 for 3 with three RBI and Isaiah Mamiam 1 for 3 with three RBI.
ESTANCIA 13, SADDLEBACK 0: The Eagles (19-4, 9-2) captured an Orange Coast League win Tuesday. Andrew Mits (9-0) earned the win, allowing one hit and striking out 12 in five innings. Mits was 3 for 4 with two runs scored, a double and a triple; Riley Witte was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBI; Bennett Molica was 2 for 2 with two runs scored, an RBI and a double; Sawyer Atkinson was 2 for 4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a double; and Miles Dodge was 1 for 3 with run scored, three RBI and a double.
SEGERSTROM 6, KATELLA 0: The Jaguars (10-9-1, 5-2) captured a Golden West League victory Tuesday behind the outstanding pitching of Rodrigo Rivera Jr. The senior threw a complete game shutout, allowing two hits. Jacob Ceja led the offense, going 2 for 4 with four RBI. Freshman Julian Hernandez also had two hits and Adrian Leon and Anthony Quinonez delivered RBI line drive singles, according to Coach Erasmo Ramirez.
Segerstrom and Katella are tied for second place in the league.
LAGUNA HILLS 5, UNIVERSITY 1: Laguna Hills (9-12, 5-11) was led by left-hander Kyler Fitzpatrick who scattered five hits, struck out seven and walked one to notch the complete game victory and contributed a key hit to help break open a scoreless contest.
The Hawks got all the runs they needed in the top of the fourth. Damian Youngman reached on an error and advanced to third on Fitzpatrick’s double off the top of the right field wall. Designated hitter Haden Yoast drove in the first run on a single to left before Fitzpatrick scored on a wild pitch.
Zeke Sher hit a pair of doubles for Laguna Hills and Fitzpatrick added an RBI single in the seventh.
University fell to 9–13 and 6-10. Cooper Berger pitched five innings striking out five and allowing two earned runs. Center fielder Blaine Anderson had a pair of hits and stole a base. Luke Weston tripled in the seventh and scored on a Shay Eldridge sacrifice fly for the Trojans’ only run.

IRVINE 7, PORTOLA 1: The Vaqueros (10-11-1, 8-8) recorded a Pacific Coast League victory in the opener of the series Tuesday at Portola. Irvine remained in fourth place in the league. Four teams earn automatic CIF playoff berths.
“It was a good team win for us, a much needed win,” said Irvine Coach Gabriel Cota.
Nate Valencia was 2 for 2 with a walk, hit batter and run scored; Smith Spivey was 2 for 4 with two RBI and a run scored; Ryan Sellards was 2 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored; Josh Gutierrez was 1 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run scored and Zach Rodriguez was 1 for 1 with a walk, hit batter and run scored to lead Irvine.
Drake Brito pitched the first three innings, allowing one run and striking out six to earn the win. Ethan Kim pitched three innings allowing no hits and striking out five. Rodriguez finished on the mound, striking out one in one inning.
NORTHWOOD 7, SAGE HILL 0: The Timberwolves (14-5-1, 12-3-1) remained tied with Beckman for first place with a Pacific Coast League win Tuesday at Northwood. Beckman defeated Woodbridge 6-1 Tuesday.
Casey Euper pitched the first six innings to get the win allowing two hits and striking out 10 for Northwood. Euper has not allowed an earned run in 45 innings. Andres Hernandez finished on the mound with a scoreless seventh inning, allowing one hit and striking out one.
Euper also led the offense, going 2 for 3 with three RBI. Rylan Littlejohn was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Caleb Huh 1 for 3 with an RBI. Paul Grossman scored two runs.
Jared Stroner had two hits and Justin Glasser one hit for Sage Hill (5-17, 4-12).
Northwood took advantage of four errors by Sage Hill.
