SAN CLEMENTE 5, BECKMAN 0: The Tritons were led by Stanford-commit Mike Erspamer who pitched a complete game shutout and struck out nine Monday at San Clemente. Kai Cesare had a two-run double for San Clemente (9-9, 2-2) against Beckman (12-11, 2-5). The teams play again Wednesday at Beckman and Friday at San Clemente.
TRINITY LEAGUE
MATER DEI 2, JSERRA 1: The Monarchs won the first game of a Trinity League series Monday. JSerra (7-10, 2-5) scored the first run of the game in the second inning when Shane D’Arcy, who had singled, scored on a passed ball. However Mater Dei tied the game in the third inning and then scored the deciding run on a two-out single in the sixth inning.
SOUTH COAST LEAGUE
TESORO 7, DANA HILLS 3 ((9 innings): Nick Bull pitched three innings allowing no earned runs and struck out four for Tesoro (4-14, 3-1). Christian LaMothe had two RBI and Eli Martin went 3 for 4 with an RBI.
SAN JOAQUIN LEAGUE
PACIFICA CHRISTIAN 6, WESTERN CHRISTIAN 0: Blake Hayes went 4 for 4 with a stolen base, Luke Miller had two RBI, John Peterson had an RBI and a triple and Johnny Coopman had an RBI to lead Pacifica Christian (9-7, 4-2). Jon Stone pitched five innings, striking out nine and allowing no earned runs and one hit. Josiah Miller pitched two innings, striking out two and allowing one hit and no earned runs.
