Santa Margarita High School’s girls soccer team is ranked No. 1 in this week’s CIF Division 1 poll released on Tuesday.
The team is the only OC squad ranked No. 1 but a number of other OC teams are ranked in the top 10 in their divisions.
Capistrano Valley, Edison, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Mater Dei. Rosary and Santa Margarita are the OC teams listed in the open division.
In Division 1, Capistrano Valley is second, Los Alamitos fourth and Huntington Beach ninth. Rosary is second, Esperanza third, El Dorado fourth, Yorba Linda fifth, Woodbridge seventh and La Habra ninth in Division 2.
Crean Lutheran is third and Canyon fourth in Division 3, Fairmont Prep is third, Pacifica Christian fourth in Division 4. Estancia is second and Garden Grove sixth in Division 5, Fullerton is fifth and La Quinta sixth in Division 6.
Century is fourth in Division 7.
