Four Orange County high school boys water polo teams earned top seeds in the CIF playoffs that begin next week.
Sunset League champion Newport Harbor (27-0) is top-seeded and Trinity League champion JSerra (23-3) is second in the open division.
Sea View League champion Trabuco Hills (20-7) is top seeded in Division 3. Trabuco Hills has a bye in the opening round. Golden West League champion Santa Ana (24-3) is top seeded in Division 4. The Saints captured the first league title in school history going undefeated.
Santa Ana opens up on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at home vs. Citrus Valley.
Orange Coast League champion Garden Grove (17-12) is top seeded in Division 5 and has a first round bye.
Other teams seeded in the top four of their divisions are San Juan Hills, fourth in Division 1; Dana Hills, fourth in Division 3; and Ocean View, fourth in Division 5.
The open division is a pool-play tournament. There are 162 teams in seven divisions, CIF officials said.
First round matches are scheduled for either Tuesday or Thursday. The finals for the seven divisional finals will be played at the Mt. San Antonio College Aquatics Complex in Walnut on Saturday, Nov. 16.
