OC players selected on All-CIF baseball first team; coaches also honored

Zach Ireland of Beckman (Division 3) and Carter Senglaub from Oxford Academy (Division 7) were named CIF baseball players of the year after leading their teams to CIF titles.

In addition, Beckman Coach Kevin Lavalle and Oxford Academy Coach Cory Williams were named coaches of the year for their divisions.

Beckman defeated St. John Bosco 2-1 in eight innings for the CIF Division 3 title and Oxford Academy from Cypress defeated South El Monte 5-4 in the Division 7 championship game.

The selections were made by the CIF baseball coaches.
