OC boys basketball teams entered in two divisions of Estancia Coast Classic

Twenty boys basketball teams, most of them from Orange County, will compete in the annual Estancia Coast Classic beginning Tuesday at Estancia High School.

There will be a silver and gold division, according to Estancia Coach Xavier Castellano

“We’re trying to make it as competitive as possible with teams from the same (CIF) division/strength in the same tourney,” the coach said.

The tournament wraps up next Saturday with finals in each of the two divisions.

Gold Division

Pool A: San Bernardino, Irvine, Laguna Beach and San Clemente.

Pool B: Arlington, LB Cabrillo, Fountain Valley and Woodbridge.

Wednesday, Dec. 27: 9 a.m., Fountain Valley vs. LB Carrillo; 10:30 a.m., Arlington vs. Woodbridge; noon Irvine vs. San Bernardino; 1:30 p.m., San Clemente vs. Laguna Beach.

Thursday, Dec. 28: 3 p.m. LB Carrillo vs. Arlington; 4:30 p.m., San Bernardino vs. San Clemente; 6 p.m., Laguna Beach vs. Irvine; 7:30 p.m. Fountain Valley vs. Woodbridge.

Friday, Dec. 29: noon, Woodbridge vs. LB Cabrillo; 1:30 p.m., Arlington vs. Fountain Valley; 3 p.m., San Bernardino vs. Laguna Beach; 4:30 p.m., San Clemente vs. Irvine

Saturday, Dec. 30: 10:30 a.m., seventh place; noon, fifth place; 4:30 p.m. third place; 7:30 p.m. championship.

Silver Division

Pool A: Estancia, Tarbut V’ Torah and Segerstrom.

Pool B: El Modena, Los Amigos and Legacy.

Pool C: Pioneer, Pacifica and Norwalk

Pool D: Santiago, Valencia and Rubidoux
